Rafting Down the Mississippi

People often ask me how I got interested in the topic of river cruising. Some of the blame goes to Mark Twain and his tales of the Mississippi, but only a small part. The truth is a more interesting story that goes back to the days of yore, when people actually did things.

Mississippi River is considered one of the most sought after and popular tourist destinations in the United States. It is the second largest river with the length of 2,320 miles stretching from the Gulf of Mexico to Lake Itasca.

Mississippi River exhibits a very prominent and significant history and tradition. This is considered as the river which was formed about two million years ago. The river is a significant historical site and an ideal place to reside for more than three hundred species of birds and aquatic animals.
