Adventure Travel Wisconsin

Starting from the sandy shores of Lake Superior adventure travel into the wilderness of the Apostle Islands National Lake Shore. Discover the beer, wine and cheese of Wisconsin a treat for anyone's palate. Enjoy the rivers and history of the midwest as you set out on your travel adventure.

There are twenty one of the Apostle Islands that make up the National Lake Shore. Islands all have their own unique ecosystem and you can travel there by kayak or you can catch a ride on the ferry service from Lake Superiors Shore.

Manitou Island is one in the chain that is worth the effort to get to. People have been fishing from the island for thousands of years. There is a trail on the island that will take you from the restored fishing pier and fish house to the fish camps where ancient people fished. There are black bears on the island, a remote camping area and a person can easily relax in nature on this island.<<more>>
